Show 047 – January Snows (2018-01-05)

posted in: Past Shows

The holidays are over. Here in the high desert at the feet of the Sierra Nevada, winter is a living force with which to reckon…think Donner Party–that grisly wintertime scene happened only a handful of miles from our studio. To warm you up, Katie and Joe spin up some tasty Celtic music featuring music that reflects on the depth of winter. Good music can see you through the darkest days. This week, we feature a well-rounded blend of music to keep you warm: Peter Nardini, Lúnasa, Dolores Keane & John Faulkner, Dick Gaughan, Randal Bays, Peg McGrath, Altan, d’Bize, Eoin Dillon, Gráda, Ed Miller, Shira Kammen, and Mick Moloney & Athena Tergis.
