Show 036 – Fair Plé To You (2018-10-06)

posted in: Past Shows

Fair Plé is the movement originating in Ireland to strike an equitable balance between male and female performers both on stage and in broadcasting. This week, Katie Marie picked out a wide-ranging selection of women working in tandem with a male counterpart as an equal partner, and not just as the “pretty singer.” Every one of these elite performers are at the top of their game. This week, we feature two cuts from a brand spanking new release, “Ten Thousand Miles” from Danú. We also visit some favorite Fair Plé musicians: Rebecca Lomnicky & David Brewer, Caitlín & Ciarán, Niamh Dunne, Artisan Row, Kathryn Tickell, The Friel Sisters, Arty McGlynn-Nollaig Casey, Nuala Kennedy, Liz Knowles, Fódhla, Marie & Martin Reilly, Maire Ni Ghrada.
