Although *every* day is a good day to be Scottish, Katie and Joe celebrate St. Andrew’s Day this week. It’s the ideal time of year to celebrate one’s Scottish heritage with some amazing music. If you’re unfamiliar with traditional Scottish music, you’ll find that it’s very close to Irish traditional music, but more angular and close to the bone. And, this week, in spite of the theme, we didn’t play any highland pipes!
This week, we play Kathleen MacInnes, Mànran, Bonnie Rideout, Ed Miller, Laura Risk, The Friel Sisters, Ímar, Breabach, Fiddlers2, Dick Gaughan, Deaf Shepherd, Alan Reid & Rob van Sante, Eamon Doorley-Muireann Nic Amhlaoibh-Julie Fowlis-Ross Martin, and Dàimh
Our FairPlé score this week: a perfect 50
