This week, Katie Marie and Joe celebrate the Celtic holiday of Lughnasa, which falls on the first of August. We play an hour of Harvest-time and Summer-themed tunes and songs–perfect for a lazy evening after a hard day gathering the first fruits of the fields. And just a quick note: the next two or three weeks will be repeats, as our home station in Carson City is moving from the historic Adams House, and Katie and Joe will be hauling gear to our new studio at the also-historic Brewery Arts Center.
The artists this week: Lúnasa; La Lugh; Katie Jane Band; Karine Polwart with Pippa Murphy; dBize; Seán McKeon; Storvan; Dervish; Sophie & Fiachra + André Marchand; John Cronin & Daithí Kearney; Jane & Kyle; and Altan.
The FairPlé score this week: 50
