November 11th marks Veterans Day in the U.S. The countries of the British Commonwealth observe Armistice Day and Remembrance Day on the same day. Ireland observes the National Day of Commemoration in July as the day for honoring the Irish lost in war. Katie Marie and Joe put together an hour of Celtic music commemorating those who fought in wars across the centuries. This week, we also pay respects to the great Dónal Lunny, who was instrumental in helping to ignite the Irish Trad renaissance with Planxty and expanding the trad horizons with the likes of Frank Harte, Coolfin, Zoë Conway, and so many others.
