Usually, Celtic music traveled across the oceans with the Irish and Scottish emigrants and found homes in other countries around the world. This week, Katie Marie and Joe present an hour of music where music made the journey in reverse and took root in the Celtic repertoire. Due to the long-standing connections between the US and Ireland, much of this week’s show features American music that influenced players in Scotland and Ireland.
This week, we play De?anta, Jerry O’sullivan, Open House, Patrick Street, Solas, Sylvain Barou, Planxty, Michael McGoldrick, I Draw Slow, Shantalla, Tri Yann, Altan, and The Shee.
This week, our FairPlé score is 23
