For most of this month, the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo is in full swing in Scotland. Since 1949, this event celebrates Scottish military and civilian life with piping contests, music concerts, dancing, and general carrying-on. Here on High Country Celtic Radio, Katie and Joe put together a show of Scottish and Scottish-inspired music from musicians across the world. It’s not all bagpipes and drums–there’s magnificent singing and fiddling as well. This week we feature The Fire, Daimh, Ed Miller, Julie Fowlis, Peel Regional Police Pipe Band, Bagad Cap Caval, The Chieftains, Mari Black, Deaf Shepherd, Ann Gray
Nuala Kennedy & Mike Bryan, and Rebecca Lomnicky & David Brewer.
