Show 446 – The Veil Grows Thin
(2026-10-10)

posted in: Past Shows

As the month of October continues, Katie Marie and Joe bring you an hour of Celtic music featuring songs and tunes about the Fair Folk: the fairies. These are not your cute little Disney fairies; according to legends, these are supernatural beings of incredible power that live on the other side of the Veil that separates the spirit world from this one. Folks steeped in tradition know better than to tempt fate by doing anything that would anger them. As Samhain draws near, the Veil grows thin, and it pays to mind your manners and tread carefully!

The artists this week: Stevie Dunne; David Munnelly & Jonas Fromseier; The Lilies of the Midwest; Caitlín Nic Gabhann; Tradify; Teresa Horgan; Malinky; Danny Carnahan with Robin Petrie; Fairport Convention; Louise Bichan; and Trouble in the Kitchen.

The FairPlé score this week: 55
